Rita Cyr

Rita has been the Executive Director of RMHC since 2002. She has worked in non-profit administration for her entire professional career in positions committed to improving the lives of women, children and families.
In addition, she is a member of the Rotary Club of Dayton and serves on its Membership Committee. Rita and her husband Lee have two children that attend West Carrollton High School.

Nancy joined the RMHC Board to help spread awareness of the mission and to make a positive impact on the success of the organization. In her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking, gardening, and spending time with family.

Pete Harsh, RMHC Board Vice-Chair
President App Architecture
Pete has been with App Architects for the past 26 years and became a firm principal in 1988. He is a past President of the Dayton Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Dayton. He also participates on various other community boards and committees, including the Aileron Customer Advisory Board. Pete is accredited through the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA), and is also a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).

Jeff is a nationally known facilitator of strategic planning sessions and conference speaker. Remarkably, he began his credit union career while attending Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, as the founding President and Chairman of the First Miami Student and Alumni Federal Credit Union.

Jeff is a married father of two, and is a past recipient of the Dayton Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 Award acknowledging the up-and-coming young professionals in the region. Jeff joined the RMHC Board for the opportunity to help children and their families during their greatest time of need.

Jeanie has been in the tax field for the past 30 years, and with Brady Ware for the entirety, as the previous company she worked for merged into Brady Ware. She decided to join the RMHC Board of Trustees due to her commitment to improving the lives of children.

Karen Borgert
Vice President for Human Resources Kettering Health Network – Grandview and Southview Hospitals
Ms. Borgert has served the southwest Ohio healthcare market for over 30 years as a human resource executive. She has served the community in a variety of leadership roles such as past Chair, Butler-Warren County Workforce Policy Board; President of the Centerville-Washington Foundation. She has a Masters in Business and is currently serving as a Baldrige Examiner for Ohio Performance Excellence. Ms. Borgert worked at Children’s Medical Center when the RMHC first opened and served as a volunteer at the original House. Serving on the board provides an opportunity to honor the memory of Connie Doty and her son.

Roberta B. Boyd, Ph.D.
Assistant Dean for Fiscal Affairs, College of Liberal Arts Wright State University
Dr. Boyd has been on the administrative team of the College of Liberal Arts at WSU since 1978. She has been an invited presenter on women and career mobility at England’s Oxford University. In addition, Dr. Boyd has served on many boards including the Board for Dayton Metro Libraries, and was recognized as one of Dayton’s “Ten Top Women” in 2006. She and her husband have two children. Dr. Boyd is extremely honored and humbled that Dr. Maria Nanagas from Children's Medical Center nominated her for RMH board.

Dr. Broxson is married to wife Carole, and enjoys reading, wine and fitness. He joined the RMHC Board of Trustees in order to support the organization that provides services for our region’s children and families.

Ed has been a dedicated McDonald’s Owner/Operator for the past 9 years and has enjoyed a career of longevity with the McDonald’s organization for the past 32 years in total.

Jennifer Fox

Jennifer has been in the financial services industry for 19 years and is the Treasurer of Valley View Booster Athletic Club. She is a resident of Germantown and a married mother of two teenagers. Jennifer joined the RMHC Board because of the support given to families of children with serious illnesses. She also respects the mission and core services of RMHC and is thankful to be a part of the organization.

Ron’s greatest accomplishment has been building his business from scratch and growing to one of the top franchises in a network of over 700 throughout the country. Of his choice to serve on the RMHC Board, Ron says, “ My daughter was born 7 weeks premature and spent the first month of her life in the neo-natal care of the Children’s Hospital. My daughter was healthy and needed to gain weight. However, I saw many very sick children while she was there and witnessed the toll it takes on parents. I feel at this time in my life and career, I can now help make families more comfortable during these difficult times.”

In his spare time, Tim loves gardening, golf history, and coaching youth basketball. He joined the RMHC Board of Trustees as a result of his "Woody Hayes Pay Forward" attitude. Tim and his wife Paula have sons in high school and middle school.

Chris Sexton
Service Line Director of Women’s Health Services Miami Valley Hospital
Chris chose to serve on the RMHC Board to have the opportunity to make a difference in the community she has been raised in, and lived in her entire life. Witnessing many changes throughout the years, Chris says she “would like to help families that are in need of a caring resource that provides basic needs at a critical time in their lives and the lives of their children. Using my experience as a parent, my relationships in the community and education, I want to give back to others a portion of what I have been blessed with in life”.

John has been the Executive Director of the Nutter Center for the past 14 years, and has been in the public assembly industry for 44 years. Throughout his years at the helm, the Nutter Center has consistently been ranked in the top ten in the nation for facilities of its size. John also lends his time to serving other organizations, including the IAAM and Hospice of Dayton.

Dana Weigle
Retired Owner/Operator McDonald’s
Dana is the semi-retired owner/operator of several McDonald’s restaurants throughout Southwest Ohio and Richmond, Indiana. Beyond his obvious business-savvy, Dana has long been committed to the belief of Ray Kroc (McDonald’s founder) to always give back to the local community through leadership and involvement. As a result, he has received numerous awards for his outstanding community service throughout the years.

Debbie has been with McDonald’s Corporate for 14 years, and in 2007 won the LSM Marketer of the Year Award for the Central Division. She recently rejoined the RMHC Board after a brief hiatus because she says, "[RMHC] supports my personal interests and values by giving back to the community. I am very fortunate to work for a company along with an outstanding Co-Op that supports the Ronald McDonald House & its mission to serve families in the Miami Valley area."

Cindy Burger RN, MS, NEA-BC
Director, Critical Care Services Pediatric Trauma & Emergency Center Children's Medical Center of Dayton
During Cindy's 22 years at Dayton Children's, she has been the project director for the renovation of both, the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, as well as the Wallace Critical Care Complex. Under Cindy's leadership, each design has received national and international acclaim. She is now the project director for the renovation of the Soin Pediatric Trauma and Emergency Center, Phase I was recently completed. In regards to serving on the RMHC Board, Cindy says, "Improving the health care of the children of the Miami Valley region has been my life's work. The families of the children that we serve need the services of the RMH more than ever. "
