What is the Ronald McDonald House of Dayton?
The Ronald McDonald House of Dayton is a program of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Miami Valley Region. We are a “home-away-from-home” for families of children who are patients in area hospitals. Families whose children are inpatients are welcome to stay at the Ronald McDonald House in order to be near their child. For those with scheduled outpatient treatments who live some distance away, it provides them a place to stay to eliminate the middle of the night trip, or a place for the child to recuperate some before making the drive back home. Additionally, local families may stay at the Ronald McDonald House of Dayton, if enough rooms are available, and particularly if the child is critically ill.
